.hazelburn - cv

46% abv, €40, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, vanilla, fresh, malted barley, young, mushrooms
Palate: sweet, vanilla, fat, fresh, medium dry, spicy, white pepper, slight note of red or fortified wine
Finish: sweet, vanilla, medium long
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: Not a lot of very interesting notes, yet it is very likeable. I would like to try a vatting of this with some more maturity, plus, since I have not tried many Hazelburn expressions, I am interested in exploring this.

More info: It is unknown what CV stands for, although some people swear it means Chairman's Vat. Others state it to be Curriculum Vitae or Curvee of Vintages.
I would like to pitch in Campbeltown Vatting, since this Hazelburn - as wel as her Springbank and Longrow siblings, are created of several different cask types, including ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry and ex-Port casks, all of different vintages, created in Campbeltown.
