.sculte - almost 3yo

earlier in 2013, we were given a sample of Sculte which was not ready yet. This time, we were given another sample of the same spirit, that had been transferred into a different, previously used cask, in order to get some of the young off of the otherwise fine spirit.

still not the
definitive label
63% abv, €??, spirit, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: fruity, young, creamy, herbal, star-anise, sage, bay-leaves, unripe berries, black berries, brambles, blackcurrant, floral, spring blossom
Palate: sweet, honey, spicy, but not hot, creamy, sweet, fruity, medium dry, unripe berries, berries, blackcurrant, red grapes
Finish: young, sweet, honeycomb, berries, unripe berries, blackcurrant, long
Mark: +++/++

Conclusion: even at 63 percent, she is quite creamy. There is not much difference from the previous sample we received, when comparing notes. Personally I would like to see it mature for some more time, rather than they release this as a three years old.

Thanks again to Jock Shaw for the sample.
