"Back in 2003, the first South African single malt whisky was released in the form of Three Ships 10 Year Old. This limited-release earned a gold medal at the 2007 International Wine and Spirits Competition and showed the world that South Africa and Three Ships were serious about their whisky. "

Nose: fresh, spicy, cinnamon, sweet, vanilla, citrus, lime, fresh cut grass
Palate: slight dry, fresh, spicy, cinnamon, hay, citrus, orange peel 
Finish: sweet, honey, white wine, fresh cherries, red berries
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: really nice.

Andy Watts, master distiller at JSDistillery told me in a tweet his "dreams are still in wood". If this is any example of what he is holding back for us, the future sure does look promising...
