43% abv, €175, single malt, natural colour

Nose: sweet, vanilla, salted butter, floral, buttercups, dry grass - not yet hay
Palate: sweet, vanilla, spicy, white pepper, floral, heather, salted butter, mint
Finish: sweet, toffee, floral, buttercups, mint,
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: quite nice, but... well there it ends. Not awfully flat, nor exceptionally pronounced or wonderfully balanced, it just is what it is. Gentle is once more the correct word to describe her.

More info: The whisky has matured in ex-Bourbon casks for (at least) 33 years, and my guess is, that those casks were not the most active casks any longer, resulting in a very gentle dram, that one could mistake for one many years younger. On a positive note, there
