Nose: smoky, briny, a sea breeze, sweet, vanilla, a touch of wood, milk chocolate, fresh cream, salted butter, a hint of mint
Palate: warm, sweet, bbq-smoke, honeycomb, a touch of salt, spicy, cinnamon, mint
Finish: medium long. smoky - not ashy, sweet, honey, creamy

Conclusion: I could do a whole bottle of this. She is a rather you (8yo) whisky, but as with many peated whiskies, age is no argument (and an argument for another time anyway) and might even be something that fits many peated malts. She does not reflect an Islay malt - nor is that the intention of the distillery, and one should not expect a beefy road-worker in a glass. She is more like a lady that smokes a cigar; rarely seen, and sophisticated in her own way. Lovely even.
More info: distilled in 2002, bottled in 2010, matured in 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrels.
Thanks to Werner Bos for leaving the bottle with a heel with us, for us to do a note.
