.glen scotia - 1991-2013 - wemyss - merchant's mahogany chest

From Wemyss Malts, we received a set of malts for the #WemyssTT3 twitter tasting. The well named 1991 "Merchant's Mahogany Chest" Glen Scotia was one of the heart warming samples in the package.

46% abv, €100, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet apples, fresh, mint, pipe-tobacco, vanilla, dried fruits, figs 

Palate: sweet, vanilla, apple-sauce, spicy, dried fruit, figs, peach, tobacco 

Finish: smooth, sweet, long, tobacco, coffee, a hint of mint and milk chocolate
Mark: ++++/+

Conclusion: This would be great while enjoying a good cigar or a pipe filled with a good tobacco, or after a good meal to share with good company. It is that: good. Very good indeed. I would like to see one of the only 807 bottle in my cabinet...
