Conclusion: Great dram. She had a bit of a rough start, but in the end it all came together in a nicely balanced finish. Take some time after pouring before savouring it on an evening after a dinner party with some friends or family. Some might think her a bit on the sweet side, for which she has to thank the different wine finishes. Very well done, another Teeling whisky to be added to our wish-list.
More info: The Majority of this whisky is composed with a single malt distilled in 2001 that has finished in a ex-White Burgundy, ex-Port and ex-Madeira cask, together with a younger, in 2006 distilled spirit from a ex-Cabernet Sauvignon cask. All these finishes have been a period of 11-13 months. The ex-Sherry portion is a 23 year old single malt. Just as the previous releases this is a small run batch again.
