.glen grant - 1995 - wemyss malts - in a bluebell wood

From Wemyss Malts, a release of a 1995 Glen Grant. I don't know about bluebell forests, but I can imagine the scent would be wonderful.

46% abv, €90, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, gentle, floral, violets, camomile, earthy, chalk, fruit, grapes, apples
Palate: sweet, honey, apple-cider, spicy, red peppers, fruits, apples, grapes, gooseberries
Finish: sweet, honey, vanilla, dry, medium-long,
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: neat, gentle and pure, as is to be expected from a Glen Grant, where every drop of spirit takes a very long route to manage to get out of the stills. A great example of a good Glen Grant, matured in a barrel for 18 or 19 years before being bottled into only 242 bottles.

Many thanks to Wemyss Malts for supplying us this beautiful sample.
