On our trip to Speyside is 2014, we landed for a couple of hours at the rather pretty World of Dewars in Aberfeldy, at the distillery with the same name. We had a tour and a tasting, and because I was driving, they agreed for me to sample some of the drams they poured.
40% abv, €300+, blend
Nose: sweet, liquid toffee, citrus, orange juice, a hint of liquorice
Palate: sweet, toffee, floral, honeysuckle, citrus, orange
Finish: sweet, medium long, toffee, citrus, sweetened orange peel
Mark: +++++
Conclusion: Nice, but at the same time rather bland. For this price, I had expected some 'oumph'. It could have done better with a slightly higher abv.
