To mark the opening of their own distillery in the heart of Dublin, Teeling Whiskey Company has released the Revival, a 15yo single malt, distilled in 1999 and exclusively matured in ex-Rum casks.

46% abv, €120, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: fresh, a hint of mint, mashed banana, citrus, tangerines, very pleasant. a really strong scent of pear drops

Palate: sweet, citrus, grapefruit,, vanilla, spicy, white pepper, old fashioned liquorice, and again those pear drops

Finish: sweet, citrus, grapefruit, a hint of tobacco leaves, dry rum, beautifully long
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: As with most other Teeling releases, this is another cracker!
