Day one of the Master of Malt - Drinks by the Dram 2015 whisky advent calendar (there is a mouthful), appeared to be a 25yo Glenfarclas. Here's to a great start!

43% abv, €153.25, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, vanilla, citrus, limes, fruit, red apples, apple juice, red fruit, berries, dried fruit, mango, a hint of wood

Palate: dry white wine, herbal, fresh basil, sweet, honey, floral, honeysuckle, a touch of milk chocolate, dried mango

Finish: sweet, long, chocolatedried mango, pineapples
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: Very nice. For a 25 year old, she is also kind of affordable for today's standards. Nicely balanced with sweet and dry sherry notes. A must have for the sherry matured whisky lover.
