.port charlotte - 10yo - the maltman

From the lovely Bruichladdich distillery on the gorgeous isle of Islay, comes this Port Charlotte, cared for and bottled by the nice people of the Maltman.

single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: smoke, charcoal, dried fruit, prunes, raisins, pipe tobacco, spicy, cumin seeds, liquorice, hay, stables
Palate: sweet, vanilla, honey, charcoal smoke, creamy, mint, eucalyptus, berries, cranberries
Finish: sweet, honey, smoky, charcoal,
Mark: +++/++ 

Conclusion: not a Port Charlotte as I am used to, very nice though.
